The Olympics are the time when athletes need to be at their best. It’s the biggest stage that any athlete can perform on. It’s so big that it only occurs every 4 years.
This is also not the place to perform at your worst.
Unfortunately, this happened to German diver Stephan Feck. On a dive that should have given him a decent score, he received 0s. Not the best way to represent your country.
I wish it didn’t happen because no athlete deserves nor wants the embarrassment of getting 0s at the Olympics. Or having a video that goes viral because of a major back flop. I feel bad for Feck and his missed dive.
In sports anything can happen – it just stinks to have it happen on the largest athletic stage.
