Amputee runs in Olympics

An amazing man with an amazing story. It’s South African Oscar Pistorius.

The first double amputee to run and compete in the Olympics.

As he stood on the track it was obvious he was different than the other competitors. He exuded confidence and proved to the world that he could perform on the greatest athletic stage like any other athlete. He made it to the semifinals in the men’s 400m race. Even though he didn’t make the finals, he accomplished more than he probably imagined. He gave hope to others like him and told a story of triumph to us all.

He was also able to compete in the 4x400m relay. Once the Olympics end he will prepare for the Para-Olympic Games where he is a favorite to win gold in three events.

Thank you Oscar, for sharing your story with viewers from all around the world. You are truly inspirational.
