As according to Justin Verlander’s twitter, Felix Hernandez can now enter the perfect game room for MLB 2K12. This is something that even Verlander himself cannot do.
For Hernandez, it was the very first perfect game in Seattle Mariners’ history. It was the 23rd in the Major League Baseball history and the 6th of the season. It was also the third perfect game thrown at Safeco Field this year – Humber pitched his perfect game there and six Mariners pitchers combined to keep the Los Angeles Dodgers hitless.
The final score was 1-0 and the only run scored by Seattle proved to be enough. Hernandez fanned 12 in this win. This was the first time ever that a team had a combined no-hitter and a complete game no-hitter in the same season.
