#thanks: Indiana Pacers

IMG_0231

As much as grad school drains me of my free time and my social life, we get the opportunity for extremely awesome experiences.

Like having a media pass for an Indiana Pacers game.

Yep, you saw that right, I was officially for one night a member of the media for the Indiana Pacers.

They extended their win streak to 9-0 and I got to write about it for class.

Basketball still isn’t my favorite sport, but it was definitely interesting to be there and covering the game in a way that I wouldn’t be able to otherwise.

We got to go to the pre-game interviews for both coaches, Frank Vogel of the Pacers and Larry Drew of the Milwaukee Bucks. Then we went to Vogel’s post-game press conference.

These are opportunities that I don’t think I would have had if I had chosen to go into a different graduate program at a different school.

Today, I am thankful for the Indiana Pacers. Because they (along with my professor) gave me this awesome opportunity to be a member of the media.
