#thanks: friendly advice

It was a little after 2 am when a friend and I stopped talking on Facebook. He left me with some very good advice. I even told him that it might even end up here.

And after a day of homework and watching it storm outside my window, I realized that it was the only thing I could find to be thankful for today.

Here’s what he said:

always remember

when things are good, enjoy them. take a step back. appreciate the moment. thank your friends

when things are bad, remember who’s there for you

have patience

things turn around

but don’t forget

you can make changes

look for the positives, and do you what you can to bring them out and make those changes yourself

Sometimes there are moments when you need to hear something (or read something) and this was one of those moments for me. I hadn’t even realized that I needed to see those words until I was trying to fall asleep and they were all I could think about.

So thank you Dan for the wonderful – and apparently much needed – advice.
