Wow, today’s title is so exciting. I’m thankful for cleaning, what?
The people closest to me know that I am not the cleanest person in the world. I am constantly doing so much that cleaning just takes a back seat to the rest of my life. Problem? Yes. Can I help it? Not really.
So today, I woke up and finished some homework. Then ate lunch and went to class. But I got back from class and had nothing to do for the rest of the evening. I can’t do my homework for tomorrow’s class because we have to read the daily paper and it won’t be available until tomorrow morning. Because of that I decided to tackle the mess that is my room in the apartment.
I normally clean my room on Saturdays. But the past 2 Saturdays have been pretty crazy and busy so I just didn’t do it. Tonight was the first opportunity that I had to do my laundry and take out the trash. I don’t think I’ve ever been more excited to clean a room before in my life.
My step-dad owns a commercial cleaning company. Cleaning is his thing. He’s a stickler for it at home and sometimes I have to think about how he would react if he saw my room. It’s a motivator of sorts. I’d never want him to walk into the mess that was my room before this evening. But now, I think he would approve.
