I’m an excellent procrastinator. I get things done best when I’m under a tough deadline.
So tonight, instead of reading all the things I was supposed to I baked and cleaned the kitchen.
Tonight, in a short but sweet fashion, I’m thankful for distractions.
They help make the tough days of homework and intense studying a little bit better. It’s always nice when my distractions are productive too.
My co-workers will get to enjoy some pumpkin chocolate chip cookies and my roommates get a clean kitchen. It’s better for all of us.
However, as much as I welcome distractions during days like today, they do make it difficult to sleep at night. My mind keeps running and is switching from one thought to the next without stopping.
Oh, the world of distractions. This blog is a distraction. My reading still isn’t complete. There is still much to do and I have to get up for work in the morning. It will be an adventure, just like the rest of the days have been so far this semester.
