Dodgers, Red Sox amazing deal

A deal has been made between the LA Dodgers and the Boston Red Sox.

And it’s a deal that should help the Dodgers down the stretch as they make a run for the playoffs.

The trade involved nine players. Four going from Boston to LA and five going from LA to Boston.

The Dodgers sent James Loney (1B) and minor league players Allen Webster, Ivan De Jesus and two players to be named later (who have been named – Rubby De La Rosa and Jerry Sands – according to sources).

In returen, the Dodgers received Adrian Gonzalez (1B), Carl Crawford (OF), Josh Beckett (P) and utility player, Nick Punto.

It is obvious that the Dodgers want to win. And it appears that their moves to acquire the right players to do so reinforces this desire.

With pieces like Matt Kemp, Clayton Kershaw and Hanley Ramirez already in place, watch out as the Dodgers prepare to take the NL West and head to the postseason.
